I have not been on DA very long. Not much to show at present.
I first saw your work on Shapeways. [link] and [link] I was intrigued. I have built some of your models in Autocad, which are on shapeways. [link] I was also inspired to create an idea on Redesignme [link] Sadly that site is now closed for more ideas.
I wonder have you ever made a plait or braid with four strands around a circle? I want it to fit a hand as a bracelet. Or could you give me some pointers?

I would construct a braided band, using the method demonstrated within this SketchUp model: Cornish Wheel Knot
I, purposefully, included depictions of the steps to the methodology, as a tutorial effort.
I haven't yet modeled such a band, but it shouldn't pose any major difficulty, after deciding on the wireframe "skeleton" upon which it would be "built."
